The Sun and the Moon (Rosa Maccora)

Once upon a time the Sun and the Moon.

Sun, who was kind and shy, lighted up and heated the Earth to set later and lie down, giving away to the Moon until tomorrow.

The Moon was smaller than Sun, she watched over the dreams of the creatures and since she was pleasant, once in a while ,sometimes, she stopped to talk with the seas and oceans of the Earth.

One day the Sun was late to rise and so the Moon, that was tired and angry with the Sun, gave vent to her anger with the young birds who were flying towards the south.

The Sun listened everything and, injured, he hid himself behind the mountains.

The Moon, since she didn’t see him, was afraid and asked the stars where the Sun was.

They answered “ Behind the mountains”. So, the Moon came near him sweetly and said “Sorry” to him but while she was doing it she sat with her back towards the Earth and there was the solar eclipse.

So , when there is a solar eclipse we know that the Sun and The Moon are making peace.
